Global Boot Spotting - 04/11/13
The pick of the week's best football boots from across the globe.

After a busy week of football we've scanned around the globe to pick out the boots that caught our eye. Unreleased colourways, custom paint jobs and a couple of beauts from seasons past, it's Monday, it's boot spotting, it's your weekly re-cap of who's wearing what...

Adlene Guedioura (Crystal Palace) Nike HyperVenom

Crystal Palace may by rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table but so far this season their players have provided us with a couple of decent boot spots. We've already featured Yannick Bolasie's bright blue HyperVenoms and now Adlene Guedioura has laced up in a pair of the boots in complete whiteout.

Wilson Palacios (Stoke City) Mizuno Morelia Neo

Wilson Palacios has been testing out a few different boots recently as he looks to find his perfect choice. After wearing the Predator LZ at the start of the season the Stoke midfielder switched into the Mizuno Morelia Neo in the League Cup in midweek before changing again into the Nike Tiempo in Stoke's 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday.

Guido Marilungo (Atalanta BC) NikeiD Tiempo Legend IV

One of the best custom jobs on show this week was found on the feet of Guido Marilungo. The Atalanta player has designed his unique pair of Tiempos to create the perfect match-up with his club's home kit and wore them as his side hosted and drew with Inter Milan.

Abdelkader Ghezzal (Latina) PUMA V1.10 SL

A random spot in Serie B this weekend came from Latina's Abdelkader Ghezzal wearing the PUMA V1.10 SL boots originally launched in July 2010. Weighing just 150g the V1.10 SL remains one one the lightest boots of all time. Who said speed boots don't last?

Carlton Cole (West Ham United) Nike HyperVenom

After releasing him in the summer and then making the awkward phone call to ask him back Carlton Cole accepted and is once again a West Ham player. Cole played his last game for the Hammers in the Nike Tiempo but has returned for his second spell in the Nike HyperVenom.

Lucas Barrios (Spartak Moscow) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

Spartak Moscow striker Lucas Barrios was in action in the Moscow derby at the weekend wearing a complete whiteout version of the Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII boots. Barrios and his teammates went down 3-1 as Lokomotiv secured bragging rights.

Michael Agazzi (Cagliari) Lotto Solista

We're slowly beginning to see more players lacing up in Lotto boots, especially in Serie A. The Italian brand are popular in their homeland and the Solista is proving to be a serious boot this season. The latest player wearing the brand's fully reflective boot was Cagliari keeper Michael Agazzi.

Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

Diego Costa surprised us in midweek by wearing the unreleased next generation F50 adizero against Bologna, sparking speculation that he's struck a deal with adidas. At the weekend however, Costa was back in his Nike Mercurial Vapor IX boots which have been disguised with a black marker pen.

Jeremy Walker (Melbourne Heart) Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite

One of the most popular Tiempo colourways of all time was spotted down under at the weekend. Melbourne Heart's' Jeremy Walker was laced up in the black/orange Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite versions as his side took on Brisbane Roar. Launched in June 2011, Walker's done well to keep them in such good condition.

Vasilis Torosidis (AS Roma) adidas Predator LZ

Roma defender Vasilis Torosidis gave fans their first glimpse of the new adidas Predator LZ colourway in midweek. The new bright pink paint job is expected to be released within the next few days as part of adidas' winter 13 collection of boots.

Layvin Kurzawa (AS Monaco) NikeiD HyperVenom

Monaco slipped down to third in Ligue 1 at the weekend as they lost 2-0 to Lille. The pick of the boot spotting action came from Monaco's Layvin Kurzawa who has been busy creating his own pair of Nike HyperVenoms to match his club's colours. Tidy design we reckon.
