The pick of the week's best football boots from across the globe.

Domestic football made its welcome return after a dramatic international break. In typical Monday fashion, we've selected a round-up of football boots catching the eye this past weekend. Football boots old, new and custom all right here. Check them out. You know the drill.

Wilfried Bony (Swansea City) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

Swansea Striker Wilfired Bony perfectly matched his Hi-Viz Nike Mercurial IX's to Swansea's Purple and yellow away kit. The Ivory Coast international was in action as Swansea beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage. We're not the biggest fans of Swansea's away kit but you can't argue with how good the boots look with it.

Gary Cahill (Chelsea) adidas F50 adizero

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill gave us the surprise of the weekend by switching out his Predator LZ boots for a pair of F50 adizero's. The England international was see in the Solar Blue Samba edition boots as Chelsea put in a convincing performance to beat West Ham away from home.

Gareth Bale (Real Madrid) adidas F50 adizero

Real Madrid continued their fine form on Saturday, beating Almeria 5-0 despite Ronaldo being taken off in the second half. Gareth Bale put in another good display, but frustratingly for adidas returned to La Liga actions wearing his old F50 adizero boots despite having previously worn the updated F50 against Real Sociedad. It will be interesting to see how this one develops.

Dom Dwyer (Sporting Kansas City) adidas F50 adizero

English striker Dom Dwyer was spotted wearing the new generation Samba pack adidas F50 adizero boots in Solar Blue as he scored the decisive goal against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday. The 63rd minute goal puts Kansas through to the MLS cup final for the first time since 2004.

Jorge Ortiz - (Club AtlÉtico LanÚs) adidas Predator LZ SL

LanÚs midfielder Jorge Ortiz celebrated Santiago Silva's goal by mounting the striker in their 2-1 Copa Sudamericana semifinal win over Libertad. Argentinian Ortiz was spotted wearing the first generation adidas Predator LZ SL's in the Black/Purple colourway, not a boot we often see in play anymore.

Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

Emmanuel Adebayor was on the wrong end of Tottenham's 6-0 drubbing wearing the Hi-Viz Nike Mercurial Vapor IX. The Togolese striker hadn't featured in Tottenham's first team this season but was brought on as a substitute for Jermaine Defoe. The controversial striker switched from adidas to Nike earlier last season and seems to be sticking with the Vapor model.

Mario Balotelli (AC MIlan) Nike CTR360 Maestri III

Balotelli was another player to give the CTR the black marker treatment as AC Milan took on Genoa, raising questions over his partnership with Nike. The game ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw for Milan made even more frustrating by Balotelli's missed penalty. The Italian forward then went on to spark transfer rumour by tweeting 'This is the end' on Sunday night.

Yaya Toure (Manchester City) PUMA King

Yaya Toure gave the new Black/White/Blue PUMA King colourway an outing on Sunday as Manchester City thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 6-0 at the Etihad stadium. Toure wasn't on the score sheet but was his usual influential self. The win sees City up to fourth in the Premier League and also saw Tottenham's goal difference take a hit, dropping from +3 to -3.

Steven Nzonzi (Stoke City) Nike CTR360 Maestri III

Steven Nzonzi put in an influential performance for Stoke City on Saturday, playing big parts in both of Stoke's goals as they beat Sunderland 2-0. Having worn the adidas Nitrocharge Enlightened boots against Manchester United last month, the Stoke defender is now back in the Nike CTR360 but wants to give little away as he blacked out the entire upper.

Jermaine Beckford (Bolton) Nike Mercurial CR7 Galaxy

Bolton striker Jermaine Beckford is the latest player to be spotted in Cristiano Ronaldo's latest signature boot. After keeper Manuel Almunia spilled the ball the Jamaican international was gifted a simple tap in to score the winner as Bolton beat Watford 1-0 in the Championship.

David Dunn (Blackburn) miadidas F50 aidzero

As Blackburn hosted Reading in the Championship on Saturday, midfielder David Dunn was spotted wearing a decent looking pair of White/Red miadidas F50 adizero boots - not the typical boot choice for a combative midfielder. Dunn has struggled to make much of an impact for Blackburn this season, only making six appearances and scoring once.
