We go behind the scenes at the adidas Samba UK photoshoot.

To launch the new Samba collection adidas rounded up a selection of their Premier League stars to feature in a photoshoot showcasing the Brazil 2014 World Cup inspired boots. We were on set to capture the players getting stuck into a series of drills as they laced up in the Samba collection for the very first time.

An impressive squad of adidas players including, Gerrard, Soldado, Ramsey, Özil and Silva were in attendance as we filmed proceedings. Each player was keen to check out their new boots and hit the pitch for the first time in them before taking time out to have a chat with us about the new designs.

The players took part in a mix of volleyed, shooting and heading exercises to get a feel for their new boots and so that adidas could capture what they needed to use in their promotional campaigns. The Predator players including Baines and Gerrard (who has now switched into Nitrocharge) were on free kick duty. Ashley Young, Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado and the rest of the F50 players were roped into some shooting drills, in which Alvaro Negredo managed to miss an open goal and smash one of our LED lights...

The sheer amount of world class players on show in one place was a timely reminder of the outstanding squad of players on adidas' books. The new Samba Collection will start to appear on pitch from this weekend as adidas kick off their countdown to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Want to have a closer look at each boot?
