Totti's Tongue Trend: Nike Supply Roma Striker with Custom Tiempo V
Totti continues his tongue trend on new Nike Tiempo Legend V.
Legendary Roma striker Francesco Totti slipped into the new Nike Tiempo Legend V boot with a slight twist as his side drew 2-2 with AC Milan on Monday night. On a night where Mario Balotelli stole the boot headlines with his newspaper disguised boots Totti was himself sporting a unique pair of boots; The Nike Tiempo Legend V with a custom elasticated tongue.
The elasticated tongue is a feature that Totti has opted for throughout his career, from his earlier days with the adidas Predator, Diadora and older Tiempo models Totti has always preferred a boot with a classic tongue design. Nike have considered the Roma man's needs by creating a one off pair of Tiempo V's complete with folded down tongue and elastic strap to keep it in place.

The 37-year-old has seen a fair few boots during his playing career but rather than moving with the trends Totti knows what he likes and has stuck with it. The metallic silver tongue found on the standard issue Tiempo V has been extended to fold over the laces to create a completely bespoke boot for Roma's number 10.
This isn't the first time we've seen Totti wearing customised Tiempos, just last season he was wearing blacked out Tiempo IV boots with another elasticated tongue. The move into the more vibrant desert sand/black/orange is a bold one for Totti has appears to have a black boot preference but at least he'll feel more comfortable with his own finishing touches to the boot.
