It's officially Mercurial season. Nike kick off a fast and frantic week of next-generation game as the Mercurial movement gets underway with bags of Swoosh style.
Expect a monumental party of innovation, Swoosh royalty and a worldwide social takeover as Nike celebrate the launch of the next-generation Mercurial line in typically A-list fashion. The Superfly swag is ramped up another notch on the eve of a colossal week as Nike tease the launch with a series of cryptic images.
The Mercurial Superfly VI and Mercurial Vapor XII are set to complete the recently release Nike Fast AF collection on February 7 as Nike launch the boot that will spearhead them into the 2018 World Cup. A boot that will arrive as the most technically advanced Mercurial to date. The latest tease imagery features an icon of speed – the Cheetah. With eyes, paws and prints building anticipation.
All of Nike's leading Mercurial players have been spotted testing blackout editions of the boot ahead of the release, but that dark disguise will be stripped off on Wednesday when Nike pull the next-gen trigger.
Expect the Mercurial explosion to be triggered by a showpiece event on February 7 when Nike will entertain the world in epic proportions. Every time you open a phone, a laptop, a message this week – you'll see Mercurial. It's showtime.
