Kylian Mbappé Debuts PSG x Jordan Collection at Venice Beach

Kylian Mbappé continues his post-season tour of the United States with Nike by previewing the upcoming Paris Saint-Germain x Jordan collection to hit Venice Beach in Los Angeles for a pickup game with Venice Beach Football Club.

The immensely successful collaboration between the Jumpman brand and PSG is set to stride into a second season of style for the 2019/20 campaign, and an official drop looks imminent after Nike kitted Mbappé out in some of the statement pieces from the capsule for his appearance and kick-about at Venice Beach. We've already seen images surface of the PSG x Air Jordan 6, which will headline the footwear collection, and now the French forward has provided a first look at a co-branded basketball-styled jersey.

The jersey reveals the colour palette for the rest of the collection, which is set for a summer launch. Reds, whites, greys & blacks scatter across the jersey as the Jumpman logo and Paris Saint-Germain crest will link up across each piece of the collection. 'Jordan 23' takes the back of the design as Mbappé becomes the first player to preview the drop. The PSG x Jordan collab launched in September 2018 and quickly became the most hyped football-lifestyle collection of all time with rapid sell outs and a streetwear appeal that caught the imagination of football, basketball and streetwear fans across the world.

PSG roped in numerous famous faces from the worlds of music, film and sport to tease the debut collection last year, and we can expect to see the same sort of tactics ahead the official launch later this summer.

It's a big summer for Mbappé as Nike look set to install him as their next leading football icon, alongside PSG teammate Neymar as CR7 knocks on a bit. Much in the same way the Swoosh took Neymar out to the States in 2017, Mbappé's tour has raised his profile in America with appearances that included throwing the first pitch at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles at the Dodgers v Cubs game, and linking up with LeBron James at Nike World Headquarters in Portland.
