10 Things You Might Have Missed This Week – 03/01/2020

Welcome to 2020, where thankfully nothing’s really changed and the beautiful game is still surrounded by the same weird stuff. Yep, here’s 10 things that you might have missed from the world of football this week, including Jesse Lingard’s remarkable consistency, the first trend to cross from the catwalk to the pitch, and the end of a very long decade for Charlie Adam…

New Year, Same Old Mike Dean – It may be a new year and a new decade, but we can all take comfort in that fact that Mike Dean's still doing what Mike Dean does best: entertaining us all in his own inimitable fashion.

Tough Paper Round – The years have not been kind to Charlie Adam. Not that he was a looker before, mind, but he's 10 months younger than Cristiano Ronaldo...

Ya Big Jesse – Started 2020 exactly where he left off in 2019... Now that's consistency. (Interesting side note, Lingard auto-corrects to lingered. Just saying.)

Boys Against Men – Daniel James batted away like a pesky fly.

Stick To Your Game – Hell of a touch though...

Can't Stop The Klopp – 13 points ahead with a game in hand; it's past the point of desperation now for all who don't support the Reds.

Forking Hell – Nothing wrong with a club sticking by its principles.

Harry Christmas – Just imagine how much fun Christmas in the Redknapp house would be...

Beehave – Can bees not sting you if you're lying on the ground then???

Football x Fashion – The first trend to make the transition from the catwalk to the pitch. Sure to be the big innovation of the 20s.

Herro Needs A Hero – Courtois just doing what Courtois does. This time it just happens to be Miami Heat's Tyler Herro that he's saving.

Doesn't Count – Where's VAR when you need it, eh?

And that's your lot. Happy New Year and all that.
