Hoop Dream Studio Create AS Roma Basketball Hoop For Charity

As part of the fight against Covid-19, AS Roma has partnered with Fancy.com and LA-based artist Jarrett Ellis from Hoop Dream Studio to create a custom (1 of 1) Roma-inspired basketball hoop, and you can take part in an auction to get your hands on it, with all proceeds going to help the Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome as they continue to tackle the crisis.

Italy is one of the worst affected countries by the Covid-19 pandemic, and as a result AS Roma wants to raise the funds needed to help the Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome to tackle the crisis. The club has already raised close to €100,000 through the ‘ASSIEME’ shirt initiative, in which 500 limited edition shirts adorned with the message ‘ASSIEME’ across the front were sold in just five days. And now the club are following that up by partnering with Fancy.com and LA-based artist Jarrett Ellis from Hoop Dream Studio once again, to offer up another delightful dose of cross-culture creation.

The Roma x Hoop Dream Studio basketball hoop may look somewhat familiar, and that’s because the two combined back in January 2020 to produce a similar design based on the Roma third shirt. The design was hugely popular, so much so that they’ve revisited the concept, with all proceeds going to charity.

Hoop Dream Studios was founded in 2017 by Los Angeles based artist Jarrett Ellis, and operating through fancy.com, he produces creations that elevate sport to fresh levels of design. This latest  differs from the last in its premium golden trim, and the use of the Roma she-wolf of the Lupetto crest – as created by Piero Gratton in the 70s – as its focal point on the backboard. Every part as exquisite as the last, but this time created for a great cause.

The auction is up to 900 euros, so if you’ve got that kind of money spare and you want to do your bit to help the Covid-19 fight – oh, and you want one of the most unique wall decorations around – head here to place your bid. Good luck!
