To celebrate his 38th birthday on 3 October last year, Zlatan Ibrahimovic treated himself to a £1.4m custom Ferrari Monza SP2 – as you do – and he’s recently been spotted taking it for a spin through the streets of Stockholm.
Zlatan had to wait a while before finally getting his hands on his birthday present, but he’s enjoyed showing it off, despite the joyride landing him in a spot of trouble. After cruising the streets of Stockholm in the completely roofless black car that can only be referred to as the ‘Zlat-mobile’, Ibrahimovic faces a fairly hefty fine, with the Swedish Transport Agency revealing that it had not been registered since March. Now we say "fairly hefty", as to us mortals it probably would be, but when you consider that Zlatan paid £1.4m for the car, anything they do throw his way will probably be covered by the change in his pocket.
Only 499 Monza SP2’s were produced in total, and Ferrari limited the sale to only the most loyal customers, of which Ibrahimovic can count himself. Prior to his latest purchase, his collection already included a Ferrari Spider and a Ferrari Enzo, and the Monza SP2 now sits nicely amongst this collection. It boasts a V12 engine with 810 hp (603 kW) at 8,500 rpm and it is the most powerful of the Scuderiacan, allowing it to go from 0-60mph in around 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 186 miles-per-hour. Not a bad birthday present to treat yourself to.
Ibrahimovic has since returned to Italy following the news that Serie A is looking at a 13 June return date.
Reckon Ibra's been conned a bit – it doesn't even have a windscreen...
