Bordeaux Announce Partnership With Luxury Shoe Brand J.M. Weston

As part of the the club’s 140th anniversary celebrations, Girondins de Bordeaux have announced a partnership with French luxury men’s shoe brand, J.M. Weston, arriving under the heading “A Brace of Elegance”.

Having kicked off a new era for the club at the beginning of the season, with a new technical partner in adidas being joined by a newly revamped visual identity, Bordeaux take the next step in their progressive journey, announcing an off-pitch partnership with J.M. Weston. The move comes in the season when the Ligue 1 side celebrate their 140th anniversary, but also as the French luxury shoe brand celebrates its 130 year anniversary, bringing the two century-old brands in a collaboration that oozes class.

The collaboration provides the perfect opportunity to let the French traditional craftsmanship of J.M. Weston shoes shine on the feet of players of one of the most historic clubs in the game. As well as sharing long and storied histories, both the club and brand also share their local roots (J.M. Weston is based in Limoges in the same region as Bordeaux) and common values such as harmony between tradition and modernity and elegance in their presentation, something that radiates out of the lookbook imagery that accompanies the announcement of the partnership.
