Liberal Youth Ministry Collaborates With Chivas Guadalajara At Paris Fashion Week

Taking their unprecedented opportunity at Paris Fashion Week by storm, Mexican brand Liberal Youth Ministry unveiled their FW23 collection, which featured a collaboration with Liga MX side Chivas Guadalajara.

We’ve already seen the influence of football on fashion at this year’s Paris Fashion Week when Wales Bonner included the unreleased Adidas x Jamaica home and away kits in its show, but now, Mexican brand Liberal Youth Ministry have taken things to another level, thanks to a collaboration with Chivas Guadalajara that put football firmly in focus on the catwalk.

Liberal Youth Ministry has never been shy to express its love for football, releasing full collections dedicated to football jerseys, and most recently hooking up with European powerhouse, Juventus for a remix of the club’s 22/23 away shirt. But after Antonio Zaragoza’s label became the first Mexican brand to ever be approved by the French Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion to appear as part of the official Parisian Fashion Week’s calendar, the connection with football was clear for all to see.

Within its FW23 collection, titled “Sinfonia Juvenil,” the brand unveiled a collaboration with the Chivas Guadalajara, displaying multiple jersey-inspired tops, team-coloured shorts, knitted scarves and more. As a Guadalajara native himself, it makes sense that Zaragoza would turn to his hometown club to make such a bold statement in Paris.

No official word on where or when the LYM x Chivas collection will be available, but keep your eyes on the likes of Mr Porter.
