Man City To Feature Four Fan-Picked Corner Flags Against Arsenal

Acting as a reminder of some of the club’s past glory to the visiting Arsenal team, Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium will feature four fan-picked corner flag designs for the huge game against the Gunners.

Tonight, Manchester City and Arsenal go head-to-head at the Etihad in a huge clash that will go big way to deciding this season’s Premier League champions. Arsenal have been leading the pack for the majority of the season, but City have been on their coat tails the whole way, but a recent wobble in form from the London side has given the Sky Blues an opportunity to steal that lead with only a handful of games remaining. The much-coveted Premier League title is still in both of their hands… they just each need to win this game to keep it that way. Needless to say, it will be a game of very fine margins, and City are already using their home ground to their advantage.

City's normal corner flags feature the club crest on a sky blue background, but for this game the Etihad Stadium will feature four fan-picked corner flag designs. The one-off change was the result of online polls run by Club partner socios.com, who asked $CITY Fan Token holders to determine four winning designs, choosing key figures from the club's players and an iconic goal moment.

The winning quartet includes Sergio Aguero, Colin Bell, Vincent Kompany and the goal that made history back in 2012, Sergio Aguero’s 93:20.

A number of lucky token holders who voted on the winning design, were randomly chosen by Socios.com and invited to the game to see the corner flags.

Manchester City v Arsenal kicks off at 20:00 tonight, 26 April.
