Feyenoord Celebrate Eredivisie Title Win With Special Championship Ring

Feyenoord wrapped up the Eredivisie title with games to spare this season, ending Ajax’s three-year hold on the crown, and to celebrate, the club has produced special championship rings for all members of the squad.

Ajax has been the team to beat in the Eredivisie for the last three seasons, but their run has been ended in spectacular fashion by a special Feyenoord side that took the league by storm, only losing two games throughout the entire campaign, one of which came after the title had already been wrapped up. To celebrate what is the club’s 16th league win, and the first since the 16/17 season, Feyenoord, in collaboration with partner GASSAN, have produced a special championship ring for each player as a memento of this season's sporting success.

Championship rings have long been a fixture stateside in the NBA and the NFL, but they are slowly creeping over to European shores, with Paul Pogba having commissioned rings for every member of the France World Cup-winning squad back in 2018. Now, Feyenoord follow suit with the Feyenoord ‘Champions Ring’, which features a large Feyenoord logo made of diamonds. The design also includes the initials of the individual players, their back numbers, the skyline of Rotterdam, the year of the national title and a derivative of the championship scale.

A copy of the Champions Rings - with initials AS (Arne Slot) and number 12 (the legion) - will be included in the collection of the Feyenoord Museum. It is also intended that the awarding of the special championship ring will become a recurring ritual in the event of future successes of the club.

Congrats, Feyenoord. Lap it up...
