Inside Real Madrid’s Surprise Chicago Pizza Party

A delicious way to kick off their pre-season US tour, Endrick and Arda Güler were among the Los Blancos players who met fans and tasted the best pizza in the Windy City.

Chicago is famous for inventing the deep-dish pizza, so when Real Madrid pulled up for the first stop of their pre-season US tour, the European Champions hit Pequod’s Pizza with SoccerBible in tow for a mouthwatering slice of the action. Ranked America's number one pizza on Yelp and cherished in the local community, Madridistas of all ages flocked to the restaurant and late night spot mid afternoon to meet some of their heroes – Arda Güler, Brahim Diaz, Lucas Vázquez, Andriy Lunin, Fran García, and recently unveiled new signing Endrickat a private pizza party.

To set the scene and ram home this unique Real Madrid takeover, we designed bespoke menus, staff t-shirts (which almost caused a riot when we gave a couple away), and takeaway boxes to house Chicago’s most awarded pizza. Everything tied into Los Blancos’ new 24/25 Away kit with adidas, the vibrant and soon-to-be-iconic orange jersey that the players donned to make once-in-a-lifetime memories for the fans lucky enough to be there. They sampled the pizza, posed for pictures, and dished out autographs – it was all very wholesome and terrifically designed.

For the second year in a row, we’re rolling with Real Madrid and adidas stateside pre-season. So you’re on the ground, behind the scenes, and at every game with us. Everything’s building up nicely for the huge FC Barcelona clash over the weekend.
