Football Shirt News - Aston Villa Home Kit 09/10 Nike - 27/07/09
Aston Villa have unveiled their new home shirt for the 09/10 season. Continuing the traditional claret colourway, Nike have redesigned the collar and shoulder area of the new football shirt.
Aston Villa will be hoping to clinch that elusive fourth spot in the Premier League, after a promising season last year. And Villa boss Martin O'Neill has added Stewart Downing to his youthful squad, which already contains the likes of Ashley Young, James Milner, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Nathan Delfouneso.
The Aston Villa home shirt 09/10 has a new round-neck collar, with white detail around both the neck area and the sleeves. The blue shoulders have been reduced to a single strip, which connects the collar and sleeves. The shirt is made using Nike's Dri-FIT fabric, which keeps players drier, cooler and lighter by drawing sweat from the body to the fabric s surface.
The new Aston Villa home shirt is due to be available from the 13th August, and will be worn by the players two days later when they kick-off their Premier League campaign at home to Wigan Athletic.
