Football Shirt News - Manchester United Away Kit 09/10 by Nike - 29/07/09
Here are the first official images of the brand new Manchester United Away Kit for 2009/10, released by Nike ahead of the full kit launch on August 13th.
The new Manchester United Away football shirt follows the same design as the Manchester United home shirtwe unveiled on June 26th. Featuring a large chevron across the chest, which echoes the same pattern United wore on their shirts during the 1909-10 season when Old Trafford first opened. The distinctive angle of the chevron also directly replicates the one found at the bottom of the club crest containing United's red devil.

The new Manchester United 09/10 football kits celebrate Old Trafford's 100th Anniversary. United have a glorious history at Old Trafford, it is a ground where they continue to strike fear in to visiting teams. And the chevron design of the new Manchester United football shirts augment the upper chest area of the shirt, to give United players an even bigger and more intimidating appearance!
United's all action midfielder Ji-Sung Park hopes the chevron design can inspire them to an unbeaten campaign: "I like to think of it as 'V' for victory and hopefully we can win every game we play in the new kits! The new Manchester United 09/10 away shirt has a number of new design elements. The entire back of the shirt has an engineered mesh, which is a series of small chevrons, a performance feature to offer players even greater ventilation during games. And the shirt is made from Nike Dri-Fit fabric, which keeps players drier, cooler and lighter by drawing sweat from the body to the fabric's surface. The shirt is finished with a small label engineered in to the side seam that reads The Theatre of Dreams Since 1910'. |
The new Manchester United Away football shirt goes on pre-order from today, ahead of a 13th August retail launch.
