Football Shirt News - Sir Bobby Robson Tribute Shirts - 25/09/09
Newcastle United and Ipswich Town will wear special commemorative shirts in memory of former manager Sir Bobby Robson, when they face each other at Portman Road on Saturday.
Sir Bobby Robson is a football legend, who served both United and Ipswich with great distinction during a decorated career which spanned 40 years. Unfortunately, Sir Bobby passed away in July at the age of 76 after a long battle with cancer.
Earlier this month the Football League granted special dispensation for the two sides to alter their playing kits for the game on 26th September, and pictured below is Alan Smith and Alex Bruce modelling the respective football shirts.
