As part of their pre-season tour of the US, City stars Joe Hart, Emmanuel Adebayor, Micah Richard, Dedryck Boyata, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Wayne Bridge and Kolo Toure turned up to play locals in a pick-up game in Sara D. Roosevelt Park to launch the new Manchester City away football shirt 10/11!
After drawing 1-1 against the locals TourÉ commented: We loved playing against the New Yorkers. They gave us a good game on their home turf. The pitch right in the heart of the city and the atmosphere around it gave us a glimpse of how big football is in New York. It was a fun game to play in and a great way to debut our new away kit .
The dark navy colour of the 10/11 Manchester City away soccer jersey is inspired by the Dark Side of the Moon - the blue moon symbol being synonymous with Manchester City. A subtle and classy tonal pinstripe runs through the shirt, to ensure a smart, tailored look for each player.
