Olympique Lyon Away & Third 10/11 adidas Football Shirt
Here's a look at the stunning new Olympique Lyon Away and Third 10/11 football kits, which are two of the most striking football shirts we've ever seen!
Earlier this year Lyon announced a new kit deal with adidas, who have without doubt made quite an impression with their first Lyon football shirts. Not usually known for designing outrageous football kits, adidas have followed the trend in France that has seen Marseille and Stade Francais rugby club turn-out with spectacular kits.
The new Lyon Away shirt 10/11 is mostly burgundy, with a purple/pink pattern adorning the body of the shirt. There is a gold collar, and both the club badge and adidas branding is also in gold. This Lyon Away football jersey 10/11 is certainly a departure from the norm, however it is more than just a mere fashion statement as adidas have incorporated some of their performance technologies.
For performance and comfort, the new Olympique Lyon football shirt 10/11 features adidas ClimaCool technology, an advanced material engineered to reduce heat and moisture build-up. There is also expected to be a TechFit version, designed to give the athlete more explosive power and stamina, by using compression fabrics and TPU compression bands to support and enhance the movement and efficiency of sport-specific muscle groups.
The Lyon Third football shirt 10/11 is equally unique, and is expected to be worn predominantly in Europe. Lyon will once again be hoping for a successful showing in the Champions League, after reaching the semi-final stage last season.
Using the more traditional Lyon colours, the new Lyon Third kit 10/11 is mostly light blue, with navy and red stripes running around it. The sides and sleeves of the shirt are navy, with red panels on the underarm and the adidas branding is in white.
So now you've seen them what do you think of the Lyon football shirts new for the 2010/11 season? Are you a fan of bold and eccentric football shirts, or should a club's football kit remain traditional?
