Sunderland Away Shirt 2011-2012 - Umbro Football Shirt

Sunderland's new 2011/12 Umbro Away Shirt is already being reported as one of the clubs most popular away jerseys. Ahead of its official release on July 1, we thought we'd take a hands-on look at The Black Cat's new away colours for the 11/12 Premier League season.

Arriving direct from the Tailored by Umbro Collection. Check out our exclusive imagery of the new 11/12 Sunderland Away Shirt and share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

As the Premier League club look to build on a successful 10/11 campaign, Sunderland will make their trips away from the Stadium of Light with a fresh new look. The new 11/12 Sunderland Away Shirt features a vivid new blue design with a contrasting white chest stripe housing the stitched Sunderland A.F.C club crest and Umbro logo.

Unlike the v-neck featured in the new 11/12 Sunderland Home Shirt, this years away jersey has been designed with a round neck in the same vivid blue colour. As we've come to expect from Umbro's Tailored range, the iconic Sunderland A.F.C club crest remains stitched onto the light and breathable material used for the shirt. References to the iconic red   white of Sunderland are made through the detailing across the shirt.

The same shirt sponsor remains on the new 11/12 Sunderland Away Shirt. After agreeing an initial two year deal last season with Tombola, Sunderland continue their partnership with the online gambling company. Due to gambling legislations, junior sizes will not carry the Tombola sponsorship.

Umbro and Sunderland seem to have pleased a strong number of Black Cat's fans with the new 11/12 Sunderland Away Shirt. Fresh new colours combine with Umbro's notorious 'Tailored' manufacturing to create a strong away jersey for the new season!
