Umbro England Away Special Edition

Umbro England Away Special Edition

Following the recent launch of the 2011 England Away kit, Umbro has released a special edition England Away shirt and England Anthem jacket, offering a stylish and unique alternative to the main football kit.

The new special edition set celebrates the evolution of Peter Saville s Modern England pattern inspired by contemporary England. The now iconic print, specially designed for Umbro by Saville in 2010, has been updated and is referenced throughout this special edition set as a formation of interlocking crosses to represent the flag of St George.

The new print design features subtly on the pop out collar of the special edition England shirt and covers the Anthem Jacket in a tonal navy St Georges Cross print.

The navy Away shirt is a traditional suiting colour that is synonymous with England and was first worn by the England team in the 1930s. Inspiration was taken from the caps given to England players as well as the original British passports, which were navy in colour.

Lightweight and breathable, the special edition shirt has adopted the same performance benefits as the England Away shirt. The shirt uses mesh technology to increase the airflow to the body, updating a style that was first introduced in 1970. The England shirt is made using full polyester on the inside to help draw sweat away from the body and features a cotton outer to provide a smart appearance.

The new Umbro England Away special edition set will be available to order from 7th October 2011, and you can check out more info at Umbro.com. The England team will debut the special edition Anthem jacket in their last qualifying game against Montenegro. Share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
