PUMA & Italy Unveil 2013 Confederations Cup Kit
Ready for a summer of international football? The Confederations Cup might not bring with it the same buzz and excitement as the World Cup or European Championships, but one thing it does bring is new replica kits. The latest to be launched is the new 2013 PUMA outfit for Euro 2012 runners-up Italy.
It might feel like we're a long way off the summer, but spring kit reveals are always a welcome reminder that summer football is on its way. Italy's latest look is a tasty 90s homage, including nice touches that will make the Azzurri one of the best dressed teams at this years tournament in Brazil.
The kit will get its first taste of competition action this week when 2013 Confederations Cup hosts Brazil play the Italians in Geneva. PUMA have a tendency to deliver stylish garments for Italian national side. Since their partnership with Italy began in 2003, PUMA have provided kits that complement Gli Azzurri s inherent style and winning tradition.
The kit was recently unveiled for the first time at the headquarters of the Italian Football Association, where national favourites Andrea Pirlo and Gigi Buffon were present alongside Italian Head Coach Cesare Prandelli. Modelling duties were left to PUMA athletes Giorgio Chiellini and Alessandro Diamanti.
As a nice design quirk, PUMA have included Tricolore coloured cuffs, incase we forgot that the Italian national flag doesn't actually include any blue! The shirt is made of entirely 100% recycled polyester and features enhanced moisture management technology through the use of polyester and Cocona.
