Lifestyle store BLENDS LA host an exclusive launch party in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate the launch of the 2016 LA Galaxy home kit.
With the 2016 LA Galaxy jersey officially unveiled and the MLS regular season about a month away, BLENDS LA opened its doors in the Fashion District of downtown for a special two night #ThisIsLA Pop-Up event, with appearances from Galaxy players including Sebastian Lletget, AJ DeLaGarza and Robbie Rogers.
The sneaker store, which had been converted into a gallery space celebrating the Galaxy's new 2016 kit, featured 10 large prints showcasing Galaxy players posing in their home neighborhood, with photography captured by Robert Mora, Jon Lorentz and Hana Asano.
“You see photos of Robbie Keane in Downtown LA, Landon Donovan in Manhattan Beach, and myself in Redondo Beach. [The photos] show that we’re all over the county and all over Los Angeles,” DeLaGarza told LAGalaxy.com.
With KCRW DJ Jason Bentley on the decks providing the tunes for the party, it was a celebration of the culture of Los Angeles and the different facets of the city, with Bentley explaining, “We’re both part of Los Angeles’ culture. Music and sports all go hand and hand as part of living here and being part of this great city.”
