Continuing their commendable partnership adidas Football and Parley collaborate once more to launch pre-game jerseys for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Juventus, each made entirely from Parley Ocean Plastic.
It's a collaboration for change, and the Parley For The Oceans initiative is something that adidas have backed with all their Three Striped power. The latest link-up takes plastic waste from the sea and turns it into high-performance apparel for four of adidas' biggest clubs to warm-up in ahead of their fixtures this season.
Parley's incredible work has been supported by adidas before on the football scene. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and MLS clubs LA Galaxy, New York City, Orlando City and Seattle Sounders have all worn Parley match-day shirts, but it's the pre-match that's the focus for the new collection.
The pre-match jerseys are made from a 100% recycled polyester that incorporates Parley Ocean Plastic. The Parley Ocean Plastic used in the jerseys is created from up-cycled marine plastic pollution intercepted by Parley clean-up operations in coastal areas of the Maldives.
As well as these performance and eco-innovative features, the pre-match kits present a unique new design. All of the jerseys feature a ribbed crewneck as well as a back neck tape with the message “For the oceans” embroidered on it, referencing the mission of Parley for the Oceans.
