Nike have shaken up their replica game by revealing the new Chelsea 'Shirtholders' jersey which was designed by Chelsea fans and is inspired by the club's 2012 Champions League triumph in Munich.

This shirt has been coming, Nike have made no secret of that. Earlier in the year the Swoosh announced that any fans who bought the 2018/19 Chelsea third shirt and scanned the little code on the label could submit their design for the 'Shirtholders' jersey, and this here that we're looking at is the final product which will be released soon.

No it won't be worn by the first team, and yes the whole thing is a bit weird, but we've come this far now so we may as well explain what's going on with the design. The blended royal blue and orange stripes are joined by "19/05" on the bottom of the back of the shirt to pay tribute to the date that Chelsea won the Champions League against Bayern Munich in 2012. In the neckliner is the signature of Chelsea legend and decisive penalty taker on that night, Didier Drogba.
