Taking inspiration from the snowcapped mountains that rise above the Mile High City, adidas launch the Colorado Rapids 2019 Secondary jersey. The Rocky Mountains dominate the scenery around Colorado, impacting everyday life, so it stands to reason that they are the influence behind the latest Colorado kit.
Named after the toughest mountain runs – the ones that require focus, excellence, preparation, and hard work to conquer – the “Black Diamond” kit, as it’s known, features a core white body with burgundy and grey trim, the cloud white colour representing the mountain culture and the permanent snowcapped mountains that rise above the Mile High City.
The iconic Colorado “C” from the Centennial State flag is visible above the name and number on the back of the jersey while the flag itself is embossed on the front of the lower tag as an ode to the state. We're just not sure who wins the whoops-I-left-my-jersey-out-over-night-in-the-snow award, this or Minnesota's effort. Tough call.
