If there was an award for style in football, as a club, AIK would have already won it for 2019. Let’s be honest, they had it wrapped up in January. As a club, and with the backing of Nike, they continue to push the boundaries of football shirt design in the most elegant and appealing fashion. The new shirt for 2019 continues that trend, taking a black core with only the sponsor, branding and club crest popping in yellow on the front, while on the back, there’s the names and numbers along with a tidy neck tag that features the iconic 1891.
Okay, so Nike haven’t strayed far from the tried and tested model that’s been so successful in recent years for AIK for this latest home shirt. And no, this isn’t a special, limited edition master-piece that the Swedish outfit are fast becoming renowned for.
