Camden Town FC Celebrate International Women's Day With Special Shirt

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Camden Town Brewery have created a new football kit that pays homage to inspirational women from the local area and it will be worn by local ladies’ team, Camden Town F.C.

The eye-catching kit celebrates some of the most inspirational women to have lived in the borough through the ages, including literary greats Sylvia Plath and Buchi Emecheta OBE, Modernist sculptor Dame Barbara Hepworth, and suffragist Dame Millicent Garrett Fawcett GBE, who all found inspiration in Camden during their lifetime.

Hailed as the first “football kit/work of art”, the shirt has been hand-painted by Camden Town Brewery’s seasonal designer, Bodil Jane, and it will be exclusively worn by Camden Town Ladies F.C. A limited number of the shirts will be available to buy at Camden Town Brewery’s Bar later in the month, with proceeds from the sales being donated to The Fawcett Society – the UK’s leading charity campaigning for gender equality and women's rights.

For more details on how to get your hands on the shirt, which is set to retail at £30, email merch@camdentownbrewery.com
