Set for another onslaught on Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Umbro launch the Cruzeiro 2019 home jersey, which takes a minimalist approach, mirroring the recently released away kit in simplifying the aesthetics of previous designs for a refreshingly clean look.
For the 2019 Cruzeiro home jersey, Umbro stick to the regular blue and white colourway that’s synonymous with the Brazilian giants, however this iteration comes with a significantly stripped back design, and nowhere is this more noticeable than on the new look Cruzeiro logo. Taking the famous five star formation of the club crest, it literally ditches the rest, leaving the white embroidered stars standing out alone on the left of the chest, amongst a sublimated star design that covers the rest of the jersey’s chest and sleeves. The full club crest does make an appearance, though it’s only on the jog tag on the lower right of the jersey.
White accents feature across the blue core, notably in the Umbro logo and the sleeve and neck trim. In a world where most jerseys seem to be getting more and more cluttered with logos and sponsors in every available space, the new Cruzeiro home shirt is a refreshing change of pace. A sponsor will probably end up appearing on the jersey down the line, but for now this is a clean look for the back to back Copa do Brasil champions to be defending their title in.
