Tottenham Hotspur’s 2019/20 third kit pays tribute to iconic players of the past by bringing back the famous light blue shade synonymous with the talent that helped carve the way for the Club’s future success. The new kit, which Spurs will debut later this month when their European campaign begins, is light blue from head to toe and features numerous other nods to ‘90s jersey culture.
That logo, that graphic print, that collar. This is everything you'd want from a third shirt, drenched in DNA of yesterday while confirming to modern fit with modern innovation. The jersey features a ‘Spurs’ graphic running across it thanks to a matte/shine jacquard, while the club crest benefits from an elevated trim and the ‘90s vibe is topped up by that Nike ‘Futura’ logo. The shirt is framed by a dark blue trim on the sleeves, and also on a classic ’90s button-down collar. The same dark blue details the shorts and crowns the otherwise light blue socks.
“It’s one of my favourite jerseys for sure, the light blue pops and the retro aesthetic goes down well. I can’t wait to wear it to the European games especially this season” says lifelong Spurs fan and prominent UK rap star AJ Tracey, featured in the campaign imagery.
“Everyone will see the retro influence, it’s a tribute to the jersey culture of the 90s,” said Tottenham and England forward Harry Kane. “When you see the light blue you think of those players that paved the way, and I hope this year we can wear it with pride to go all the way.”
The new 3rd shirt completes Tottenham's 2019/20 replica collection; a collection that has seen the home and away jerseys complemented by matchday-wear which includes white zipped jackets featuring a modified edition of the Air Max 'Tn' logo. The badge is edited to read 'Th', and you should be able to figure out what that stands for. One last thing, a new pre-match jersey (below) has launched alongside the new third shirt, which Spurs will wear in the warm up before all European games this season.
