Celebrating the club’s 120th anniversary, PUMA launch the special edition AC Milan commemorative jersey, which is limited to just limited to 1,899 individually numbered shirts that come presented in special packaging.
On December 16, 1899, Englishman Herbert Kilpin founded the Milan Football and Cricket Club –the first-ever football team formed in Milan. 120 years on, with 48 major honours, including seven European titles, and PUMA have created a special, limited edition commemorative shirt for AC Milan’s anniversary, and it features elements that hark back to the club’s founder.
The template of the shirt is very similar to the regular AC Milan 19/20 home shirt, retaining the same thinner red and black vertical stripes from this season. But they are joined by gold detailing through the sponsor and the special club crest, which acknowledges the anniversary by placing ‘120’ underneath. The anniversary messaging is bolstered by ‘1899’ and ‘2019’ appearing in gold on the rear, below the neck.
The special feel of the shirt is then complemented by Kilpin’s iconic club founding statement: "We’re going to be a team of devils. Our colours will be red like flames, and black like our opponents' fear!”. It features subtly as sublimated print contained within the stripes of the lower left of the front of the shirt.
In addition to the match kit, a wider collection featuring fan tee, T7 track jacket, a cap, a scarf and a heritage football is also available.
