Lazio & Macron Launch 120th Anniversary Shirt

S.S. Lazio and Macron celebrated the club’s 120-year anniversary with a special anniversary shirt that the club wore on Saturday in their 1-0 win over Napoli. The design is a nod to the Italian club’s success of the late 90s, when the famous sky blue jersey was worn by the likes of Roberto Mancini, Christian Vieri and Juan Sebastian Veron.

Founded on 9 January 1900 in the Prati district of Rome as Società Podistica Lazio, the club now known as S.S. Lazio celebrated its 120th anniversary recently, and as is becoming customary for the Italians, they’ve launched a special edition anniversary shirt with help from their technical partners, Macron, to honour the occasion.

Lazio clearly enjoy rolling out an anniversary shirt when they can, and they currently seem to produce a new one for every five year marker. The 120th anniversary shirt features a design that pays homage to the club’s accomplishments of the late 90s when they won the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana, UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, and UEFA Supercup.comes. It comes in a traditional sky blue that’s synonymous with Lazio, while a logo commemorating the 120 year history of the club stands out on the left-hand side of the chest. The embroidered club name stands out at the back of the collar, and the knitted side slits, cuffs and collar add a nice finish.

The shirt was worn by the side in their game against Napoli on the 11 January, which they won thanks to a single Ciro Immobile goal.
