In an acknowledgment of all the effort and hard work that the region’s health sector employees are putting in at this difficult time, Danish side FC Midtjylland have launched a special edition ‘All For One’ shirt, with 100 percent of the profits going straight to the support of those workers.
FC Midtjylland are a forward thinking club, paving the way where others have not gone. In less than a decade they have transformed from a small provincial club into the champions of Denmark thanks to the use of Big Data. Analytics are used to identify transfer targets and optimise tactics, allowing the team to compete with richer, better-resourced clubs both at home and in Europe. Further to that, they have recently revealed plans for the return of football, offering the potential offering for a ‘drive-in’ to watch and support the game. And now they’ve shown another superb initiative that is representative of the visionary and brave approach inherent in the Jutland peninsula, with the reveal of the special edition ‘All For One’ shirt.
On behalf of the entire region, FC Midtjylland are paying tribute to, acknowledging and thanking the extraordinary skills of their health sector in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. In record time, the club has designed and produced the ‘ALL FOR ONE’ shirt, and Nike, the club’s kit supplier, has delivered the shirts free of charge.
Jacob Jørgensen, Commercial Director of FC Midtjylland, explains: “As a football club, FC Midtjylland is in many ways the symbol of our entire region. We are proud of that, but also humble. We enjoy and appreciate the huge support from our region, and we will always give something in return.
“In our area, we think ‘ALL FOR ONE,’ not ‘one for all’. It is our DNA to stick together. Therefore, we look forward to visiting selected hospitals in the region and give the hard-working employees in our health sector an unforgettable break.”
That break will see the club create a local ecosystem, with the money from the sale of the ‘ALL FOR ONE’ shirts used to make sure that local food suppliers, over several days, are ready with food stalls serving food for the staff at the hospitals. In this way, the club aim to help the small local food firms, and together make sure that there is something extra for the employees in the health sector to enjoy. A truly worthy cause, combined with a sleek and minimalistic design. All over this.
