Kappa Launch Monaco 20/21 Away Shirt

Set to debut tonight against Standard de Liège, Kappa have launched the AS Monaco 20/21 away shirt, with a design that sticks to the iconic diagonal that was originally imagined by Princess Grace 60 years ago.

Like the 20/21 home shirt that was released recently, the AS Monaco 20/21 away shirt continues to celebrate the elegant diagonal imagined by Princess Grace 60 years ago. On this occasion, the club and the Italian equipment supplier wanted to revisit the blue and yellow shirts worn at the end of the 90s and, in particular, during the 99/00 season, a season that was synonymous with the club’s 7th league title.

The shirt design features many subtle details that mark it out as unique, including the Kappa Omini on the shoulders, small yellow triangular cutouts at the end of the sleeves, white piping on the sides, and a two-tone semi-open collar. Unlike the home shirt, the primary colour – navy here – covers the entire upper portion, spreading across the shoulders to envelope both sleeves, leaving the lower portion in yellow. It’s a design that calls back to the likes of Thierry Henry, David Trezeguet and Ludovic Giuly – sure to be a favourite amongst the Monegasque faithful.
