As Manchester City and PUMA enter their second season together and patiently await the new kits for the forthcoming campaign, the squad have debuted the new 20/21 training collection ahead of their match with Liverpool.

They may have recently relinquished their league title to their next opponents, but Manchester City still have the a runners up spot to consolidate in their remaining fixtures. As part of their refreshed approach and with one eye on next season, they have debuted their latest training collection from PUMA, which sees traditional sky blue and alternative “asphalt” looks split across the range of performance apparel.

The collection is comprised of fleeces, training tops, tracky bottoms, tees, vests and shorts. Sky blue obviously dominates the range, while fans will be pleased to see a switch from purple trim to navy, with the back of the training top and fleece being dominated by the darker colour. Both items are also available in the understated “Asphalt/Copper” colour, so do these items give us any clues for the upcoming kits? Well the home is obviously going to be sky blue, and this would suggest that there will be no shift in shade when it comes to the home shirt’s presentation. No big surprises there.

But the alternate “Asphalt/Copper” colouring on certain items would suggest that there could well be a similar colour combination for the away kit, and that holds a lot of promise if the execution is right.

The City squad have been training in their new collection ahead of their clash with newly crowned champions, Liverpool, and it’s fine timing as the whole collection is now available to pick up. Smart, that.
