Joining forces for the greater good, the United Soccer League (USL) today launched the United Against Racism Project, a new organisation-wide initiative created in collaboration with the USL Black Players Alliance (USLBPA), and it has been heralded by the launch of a new “United Against Racism” Jersey.

The United Against Racism Project aims to drive social and community impact and increase representation of diverse populations throughout the USL ecosystem. To help promote its launch, the USL and the USLBPA have teamed up with Beautiful Struggles, PUMA and the Soccer Collective on Racial Equity (SCORE) to drop an ultra-limited-edition United Against Racism jersey.

100% of the proceeds from all jersey sales will go towards the USLBPA for investment in lower-income communities that have established financial literacy programs. To further help ensure that the league’s platform is being used to help promote anti-racist education and awareness, every Championship and League One jersey will see “United Against Racism” placed below the league patch on the left sleeve. In addition, the USL and USLBPA has also renewed a partnership with Black Arrow, the first lifestyle brand in the world that focuses on the intersection of soccer and Black culture.

We’re excited to drop these limited-edition jerseys with the USL,” said USLBPA Co-Founder and Executive Committee Member Hugh Roberts. “These jerseys are a representation of our culture and what we, as an organization, stand for. We are also very proud to partner with SCORE to promote racial equity and inclusion in the game of soccer and increase black representation, as well as Beautiful Struggles – a brand with a mission that directly aligns with our goals as an organization. We are thrilled to be able to work with them on this project and to raise money for our Young Investors Society Access Scholarship Fund. The funds from the profits of the jerseys will be donated to programs in lower-income communities that have established financial literacy programs.
