LAFC have unveiled their new ‘Heart of Gold’ community kit for the 2021/22 season, and it's dedicated to healthcare and essential workers of L.A. Key details of the soft gold coloured shirt include the club’s new kit sponsor FLEX Power Tools, along with ‘Los Angeles’ written in gold lettering on the cuff of each sleeve.
Taking on some golden hues to signify success, but also the community’s resilience, conductivity, radiant warmth and its shine, adidas launch the LAFC 2021 secondary jersey, which has been dubbed the 'Heart of Gold' kit. The jersey boasts strong links to the supporters, such as the club motto of “Shoulder to Shoulder”, which acts as a reminder that the club are stronger together, sitting inside the collar. The words “Heart of Los Angeles” then sits on the rear neck as a reminder that community is so important to the club. A further nod to Los Angeles can be found on the cuff of each sleeve, written out in gold lettering
LAFC celebrate the members in their community going above and beyond the call of duty by dedicating this jersey to them and amplifying their contributions. As part of the unveiling, the new jerseys were gifted to essential workers throughout Los Angeles, including teachers, emergency personnel from Los Angeles Fire Department Station 15, medical personnel from Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center and Downey Medical Center, farm workers from Monte Vista Farms and others.
