adidas Launch Arsenal 21/22 Away Shirt

Taking inspiration from the 1971 double winning team, adidas launch the Arsenal 21/22 away shirt, which features a stripped back version of the club’s crest, placing just a cannon on the left of the chest.

Back in 1971, Arsenal completed a famous league and cup double, and it’s to this period of success that Adidas have looked to for inspiration for the Gunners’ new away shirt for the 21/22 season. The clean design places emphasis on the stunning adaptation of the cannon, which will take the place of the club crest for the first time since the 1988/1990 kits, which were also made by adidas.

The shirt features a “Pearl Citrine” base with “Collegiate Navy” accents on the branding, sponsor crest, collar and cuffs, the latter of which also features red piping. The new crest will also appear on the shorts and socks, which will be Collegiate Navy blue and Pearl Citrine respectively. Every Arsenal shirt for the 2021/22 season features Arsenal for Everyone on the inside neck as a celebration of the diversity of the Arsenal family.

The new kit for the 2021/22 season will be worn for the first time by Arsenal Women in their FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace on Sunday 16 May. The men’s team will also wear the new kit in their final away fixture of the season – also against Crystal Palace – on Wednesday 19 May.
