Celebrating the club’s 30th Bundesliga title, adidas launch the Bayern Munich 21/22 home shirt, which for the first time features a fifth star above the crest. It’s set to be worn for the first time on pitch today during the friendly against Ajax Amsterdam in the Allianz Arena.
Doing a bit of a role reversal to the norm, Bayern unveiled their new away kit first, back in May, and now they reveal their new home shirt for the 21/22 season from adidas. The dark red design features a V-shaped red stripe from the chest down with contrasting white accents on the sleeves, sponsor prints and the Three Stripes across the shoulders. The iconic slogan of the club, "Mia san mia", takes pride of place on the back of the shirt below the neck, but it’s the fifth star – which has been added to the club's badge to celebrate its 30th Bundesliga title – that is the highlight of the shirt.
The shirt is made with PRIMEGREEN, a series of high-performance recycled materials, putting sustainability at the heart of the innovation.
