Hummel Launch Everton 21/22 Third Shirt

Completing the Toffees’ trio of kits for the 21/22 season, Hummel launch the new Everton third shirt. The white, navy and yellow offering is a recreation of the Club’s change strip from the late 1950s, worn by Club giants Dave Hickson, Bobby Collins and Brian Labone.

Joining the classic blue home look and the alternate black away look, Hummel and Everton have unveiled the club’s new third shirt ahead of the 21/22 season, and it takes on a white base colour with navy and yellow accents. The men’s team will debut the kit when they take on Mexican club Pumas in Florida on Wednesday evening.

The design is a reinterpretation of the club’s pioneering away strip of the late 1950s, which was the first to inject colour and design and begin to move away from the plain white shirt and dark shorts that had formed Everton’s away look since the early 1920s. This season’s version switches the horizontal stripe to a vertical position, running right down the centre, comprised of Hummel’s iconic chevron pattern, which also features on the shoulders.

As with the Club’s 2021/22 home and away kits, the strip features hummel’s cutting-edge ECO8 technology, meaning its environmentally friendly fabric is manufactured using eight recycled plastic bottles.

Danny Downs, UK General Manager for Fanatics, said: “Ever since our very first meeting with hummel, they have shown themselves to be innovative, creative and, most importantly, enthusiastic about producing kits that are unique to Everton and reflective of the Club and its fans.

“They care about style but also about what Evertonians want to see from the Club’s kits and, for us, this completes a 2021/22 range that is original, stylish and contemporary – but still manages to reflect and pay homage to the past in delivering that. With the third kit, I can see a nod to hummel kits of the past in there as well. I think it’s great, and I hope fans will too.”

The Everton 21/22 Third Shirt is available from the club's online store.
