Boca Juniors reveal their 2021/22 season adidas home shirt with a throwback club crest and design inspired by the jerseys worn by Diego Maradona during his time at the club in the early 80s.
Paying homage to one of the greatest players to ever wear their kit, Boca Juniors and adidas launch the club’s 21/22 home shirt, which features a retro design that harks back to the shirts worn in 1980 and 81, when Diego Maradona was at the club. The shirt strips back the club crest to the same four star appearance that featured on that shirt, with the stars carrying the initials of the club – CABJ.
The home shirt joins the recently launched away shirt for a fairly traditional one-two. Adidas became the kit provider for the Argentinian side after a period of 23 years apart, and now they look to leverage the archive that he pair had. The home shirt features the classic yellow band through the centre, with the Three Stripes on the shoulder also coming in the same yellow. It’s a classic look, faithfully recreated. Just need it in long sleeve now.
