Gearing up for the impending African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Kappa have dressed Gabon out in three bespoke kits for 2022 along with a smart prematch training jersey to round out their wardrobe.

As we all know, some of the best players across Europe will be departing from their domestic duties in January and heading to the warmer climates of Africa, and specifically Cameroon, for next year’s rendition of the Africa Cup of Nations. One of those players will be Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and we now get to see what the Gabonese striker will be wearing, as Kappa unveil the nation’s full kit setup for 2022.

The jerseys represent the first of the partnership between Kappa and the Gabonese Football Federation. Sticking with tradition but with a twist, Kappa present the home shirt in traditional yellow, but they incorporate the shadow of the panther, symbol of the country and the selection, in a tone on tone graphic on the front of the jersey. The pattern used to represent the panther is taken from the lower part of the new FEGAFOOT logo. The same pattern used for the panther is also present on the sleeves of the jersey.

The Away jersey is predominantly white and has yellow contrasting under arm panels. The same graphic pattern that makes up the panther on the home shirt is used throughout the away and also on the third shirt. The Third jersey itself is a nod to the Gabonese flag, which symbolises the forest, the sun and the sea, and it features on the front of the jersey through the diagonal line.

The three playing jerseys are then joined by a striking prematch jersey, which features a tonal panther print through the blue body. Yellow details add further definition through the collar and shoulders.

Gabon will start the Africa Cup of Nations against Comoros on the 10 of January before facing Ghana on the 14 January and Morocco on the 18 January.
