Raising awareness and vital funds for the charity, Southampton and Hummel have released a special limited edition ‘Saints Foundation’ shirt, which will be debuted this weekend in the FA Cup match against Coventry City.
Using the FA Cup as the perfect platform to raise awareness for the club’s charity, Saints Foundation, and all the great work they do, Southampton and technical sponsor Hummel have unveiled a limited edition kit, with only 500 pieces being made available for retail. As well as the first team wearing the kit in their FA Cup fixture this weekend, Saints Women will also sport the limited edition shirt against Hashtag United in their Women’s National League Cup fixture on Sunday 6 February.
The exclusive shirt is a white variation on the design of Saints’ popular third shirt. All profits from sales will be donated to Saints Foundation, which is celebrating 20 years of life-changing work in the 2021/22 season. The Foundation runs community projects which support thousands of people in the local community every year, helping people aged 5 to 96 years old.
Mark Underwood, CEO, hummel UK, said: “It’s a privilege to be able to support and celebrate the hard work and life changing projects delivered by Saints Foundation over the last 20 years. We look forward to continuing our support of this amazing organisation and the vital work they do for the local community.”
Greg Baker, Head of Saints Foundation and Community Partnerships, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to hummel for providing this fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of our work during what is such a difficult time for all charities.
“The support offered to us by hummel since they partnered with the club last year has been outstanding. This is another prime example of their vision to change the world through sport in action, and we’re proud to work with them to improve lives in our city.”
