Nike Unveil Women's Euro 2022 Kits

With Euro 2022 just around the corner, Nike have unveiled new home and away kits for host nation England, as well as France and The Netherlands, while Portugal, Norway and Finland will continue in their current kits.

Domestic action has all but wrapped up, and so attention turns to what’s going to fill the void this summer, and a home nation-hosted tournament certainly ticks that box, with England set to host Euro 2022, which kicks off in July. It’s an empowering time in sport — with women athletes taking centre stage, and Nike has dressed out three of its key nations in fresh fits for the competition.

For hosts England, it’s an all-white affair, with the Three Lions and Swoosh branding taking on an iridescent flair, lifted straight off the current training wear collection. It’s constructed with a bespoke knit referencing the angular lines of cut diamonds. The look pays respect to all the players who have contributed to making women’s football what it is today.

The home shirt is then backed up by the new away shirt, which arrives with a bold new look. Crimson shirt and shorts are punctuated by the same angular lines in the collar and cuffs, contrasting from the main colour with some darker tones. As with the home, the away also features an iridescent sheen to the Three Lions and branding.

Arguably the strongest design of the lot, the France’s 2022 home kit features distinctive patterns that reference neoclassical art and architecture and combine the nations tricolor: blue jersey, white shorts and red socks. It's a proper bespoke look for Le Bleus, and we love it.

But it looks like all the effort went into the home shirt, with the away arriving as a fairly tame white template that sees a flash of pink down the side stripes. Not a bad look, and actually works really well with the full kit, that side stripe running right down the shorts and leading down to the all-pink socks.

Finally for the new designs, the Netherlands’ 2022 kit gives the country’s classic orange a new edge — complete with black trim. If we're being totally honest here, it seems to have taken the previous home shirt and just removed that sublimated graphic of the lion that really elevated that design. Might look better ini action, but on first impressions this seems like a very simplistic interpretation.

The Netherlands away kit brings a bit more to the table, with a design that draws inspiration from De Stijl, a proudly Dutch art movement. It sees a white base joined by hits of blue and red, which carries on to the socks. The look is completed with blue shorts.
