Umbro Drop Bournemouth 22/23 Home Shirt

With what has to be an under-the-radar contender for Premier League shirt of the season already, Umbro drop the Bournemouth 22/23 home shirt, welcoming the Cherries back to England’s top tier with a bang.

Bournemouth are back in the Premier League, and Umbro make it a very welcome return with a striking new design for the Cherries’ home shirt, which sees a radical reworking of the club’s traditional black and red stripes. Inspired by and reflective of the club’s architectural stadium pillars, the new home shirt also gives a nod to the past in the style of the iconic kits from the early nineties – honestly don’t remember anything this jazzy in their past though if we’re being honest.

We’ve seen lightning strike styles enjoying a renaissance of late, most notably with Arsenal’s third shirt from last season, but this new take sees a superb tweak on Bournemouth’s traditional look. The design sees the red base overlaid with black zigzag stripes, and they are echoed with fainter executions underneath. It’s bold, distinctive, honours tradition whilst also venturing into fresh territory. Big thumbs up for this one. Only thing holding it back? That darned sponsor...

The Bournemouth home kit will be available to pre-order from the club’s online Superstore here.
