Belgium Unveil 2022 World Cup Home Shirt From adidas

Playing hard on the national team’s nickname of Red Devils, Belgium have unveiled their new home shirt from adidas, which is set to be used at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The new shirt will debut during the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Netherlands and Wales.

At the end of August adidas revealed the new 2022 World Cup home and away kits for most of its federations, but missing from that line up was Belgium. Now the Red Devils put that right with the release of their new home shirt, which sees a fiery graphic playing up the black raglan sleeves in a nod to their nickname. That fiery theme also continues on to the socks, completing the look and ensuring that Belgium’s players can run 35 percent faster than their opponents. OK, we admit that we may have made that last bit up, but come on, proper Hot Wheels vibes going on there.

Then shirt obviously arrives in Belgium’s traditional colour combination, with a red base through then body joined by red Three Stripes on the shoulders. Then there’s the black sleeves with the aforementioned flames reaching up from the cuffs. All of the adidas kits are made using 100 percent recycled polyester, continuing the brand’s ongoing commitment to help end plastic waste. The Authentic breathable kits contain 50 percent Parley Ocean Plastic. Parley Ocean Plastic is intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities, and shorelines preventing it from polluting our oceans.

As with the other World Cup kits, the Belgium home shirt features the latest in adidas fabric innovations, including lightweight, heat-applied details. It’s constructed using materials and textures to help keep players feeling cool with HEAT.RDY technology, optimised to keep players feeling comfortable.

When we design national team kits for tournaments as big as the FIFA World Cup, we always keep in mind that these designs will become a part of legendary footballing history. For us it’s crucial first and foremost to create kits that equip the world’s greatest footballing athletes with performance-led apparel that helps them unlock their highest level of play, while at the same time always featuring unique and unforgettably iconic designs that are bold, eye-catching and create a true sense of excitement amongst fans all across the globe.” said Jürgen Rank, Senior Design Director Football at adidas.
