Completing the club’s set for the season, Nike have launched the 22/23 Galatasaray third shirt. A fairly simple affair, it sees a white base trimmed with the club’s traditional colours.
Lining up alongside the club’s already released home and away shirts, the new Galatasaray third shirt for the 22/23 season is the absolute epitome of what an alternate strip should be, contrasting with the black away and yet acknowledging the club’s traditional colours. It’s an all-round clean affair that, were it not for the nice split of the orange and red, might be deemed as plain and unimaginative. As it is though, it’s a tidy presentation that fans should be happy with.
So, as mentioned the design sees a nice white canvas on which to work. The central concept for the design is a simple split of the club’s traditional red and orange, with the former on the left side, and the latter on the right, both flossing on collar and under arm panels. The club crest and Swoosh branding then take on the red, while the controversial SIXT branding adopts the orange in the flicked dot above the I.
As with all of Nike’s major shirt releases for 22/23, the Galatasaray third shirt arrives in the new Nike authentic 22/23 Vaporknit template, which features a new knit pattern. It’s the 2022 World Cup template that Nike will use for the upcoming tournament in Qatar, getting a run out ahead of the December showpiece. The modern, fitted template is designed to allow more dynamic movement thanks to panel cuts inspired by base-layer compression wear.
