Athens Kallithea Reveal Their 22/23 Third Shirt From Kappa

After bursting onto the scene and selling out their home and away shirts in a surprise drop exactly one month ago, Greek second division side Athens Kallithea FC have released their 22/23 third shirt, completing a striking set for the season.

Over the last few seasons, Venezia FC have placed themselves in the vanguard of contemporary football clubs redefining the relationship between sport and culture, and now Greek side Athens Kallithea FC are following in their footsteps, reinventing themselves under the watchful eye of Ted Philipakos, the man behind the disruptive rise of the Italian side. After the launch of their new home and away shirts last month, Athens Kallithea complete their set for the season with a striking third shirt, launched with a campaign featuring Athens-born hip-hop artist Kareem Kalokoh and shot by New York-based photographer Ethan White.

The club announced themselves to the wider world last month, presenting their new name, visual identity, and 22/23 home and away kits, with the identity and kits designed by Munich-based studio Bureau Borsche, who have also designed the 22/23 third shirt.

Once again produced by Kappa, In soft red and blue hues with gold accenting, the AKFC 22/23 third shirt takes influence, with some creative license, from the red-blue-and-gold flag of the Athens municipality of Kallithea

With three straight wins to start the season, AKFC have advanced to the Round of 16 of the Greek Cup for the first time since 2012/13. Their league campaign will begin on 13 November, as the reborn club look to return to the top flight for the first time since 2005/06.
