While the result of their derby against Lazio may not have gone the way they would’ve hoped, ahead of the match AS Roma debuted their new Aries x New Balance prematch top, giving a first ‘real life’ look at one piece from the recently released collection.
Sadly for Roma fans, Felipe Anderson’s first half strike, capitalising on a woeful defensive error, was enough to seal victory for Lazio in this week’s Derby della Capitale. But the result aside, ahead of the game we got our first look at the recently revealed Aries x New Balance Roma collection, the Giallorossi wearing the new prematch shirt from the collection during their warmup, giving us a precursor of what we’ll see more of later this month.
While those selected to represent their nations at the World Cup jet off to Qatar later this month, the rest of the Roma squad will be packing their bags and heading to Japan to play two matches in the island nation this winter as part of the second edition of the EuroJapan Cup. The first match, against Nagoya Grampus, will take place at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi Prefecture on 25 November, while the second game will see the reigning UEFA Europa Conference League holders take on Yokohama F. Marinos at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo on 28 November. And it’s in this match that Roma will debut the new kit from the Aries x New Balance collection.
