Commencing a new partnership that sees the brand step on to the International scene for the first time (in a footballing sense at least), Republic of Ireland have unveiled their new home shirt for 2023 from Castore.
The rise of British brand Castore has been a rapid one, with their influence strongly felt in the Premier League and stretching right across Europe. And now, confirming some long-circulating rumours, they take what would be the logical next step, moving into the International setup with the commencement of a new partnership with the Republic of Ireland; a move that is marked by the unveiling of the nation’s new home shirt for 2023.
Taking the reigns from Umbro to commence a new era, the Castore 2023 Republic of Ireland home shirt sees something of a retro design, inspired by iconic mid 80s shirts worn by the likes of Paul McGrath. The traditional emerald green base is joined by faint white and orange pinstripes in the body, completing the tricolour setup of the nation’s flag. This execution of colours is also in place on the cuffs and v-neck collar, underneath the back of which features the word “Éire”.
A solid start to the partnership, the new home kit will debut this Wednesday when Republic of Ireland host Latvia at the Aviva Stadium.
